Enterprise E-commerce Platform

A modern commerce platform concept with product management, customer workflows and administrative controls.

This case study is an illustrative concept demonstrating the kind of system SentinelCore designs. It does not represent completed client work.

Overview

A commerce platform designed for merchants with catalog complexity beyond what template storefronts handle well — variant-heavy products, tiered pricing and multi-role back-office operations.

Problem

Off-the-shelf storefront builders often struggle with complex product variants, custom pricing rules and multi-user administrative workflows as a business scales.

Objectives

  • Support complex product catalogs with variants and bundles
  • Give staff role-appropriate access to order and inventory management
  • Provide fast, accessible customer-facing storefront pages
  • Enable custom pricing and promotional logic

Solution

A headless commerce architecture separating the storefront from an administrative back office, with a flexible product and pricing data model built specifically for the merchant's catalog.

Key Features

  • Variant and bundle-aware product catalog
  • Role-based staff administration
  • Order management and fulfillment tracking
  • Custom pricing and promotion rules
  • Server-rendered storefront for performance and SEO

Architecture

A Next.js storefront consuming a dedicated commerce API, backed by PostgreSQL, with server-rendered product pages for performance and a separate authenticated admin application for staff.

Challenges

Modeling product variants and pricing rules generically enough to fit multiple merchant catalogs, without over-engineering the schema, is the central design trade-off in this concept.

Results & Outcomes

Concept stage — case study will be updated with real metrics once deployed for a merchant.
